 +{gui>Key repeat} lets you rest your finger on a key and have the character repeat itself; for instance, if you want to draw an ASCII line, or a row of x's, across an email message.

You can adjust the interval with the slider. Once the repeat delay has expired, {gui>repeat speed} controls how quickly the characters are registered: from 1 per second (quite slow) to 250 per second (which can lead to surprises with the {key>Delete} or {key>Backspace} keys). The {gui>Test area} at the bottom of the module helps you instantly try out your settings.

 +In order to make changes to the keyboard layout, first, uncheck the {gui>Use system defaults} checkbox. This will allow for the user to select their choice of {gui>Keyboard model}, {gui>layout option}, and to choose a different {gui>Compose key}. The availability of keyboard layout options may be dependent upon packages provided by distribution. Additional packages may need to be installed to make other keyboard layouts available.
