Xfce4-notifyd Notification service
Introduction
Xfce4-notifyd is a notification service for the Xfce Desktop that implements the “server-side” portion of the Freedesktop desktop notifications specification. Applications that wish to pop up a notification bubble in
a standard way can implicitly make use of xfce4-notifyd to do so by sending standard messages over D-Bus using the org.freedesktop.Notifications
interface. Read the specification here.
Please note that the "default action", which is usually triggered by clicking a notification bubble is not implemented in xfce4-notifyd. Clicking a notification instead closes it. If applications want to provide actions they have to specify the tuple of action-id and action for a button to be shown in the bubble.
